Hello Blueberry Fans,
It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Farmer Lorri. Her passion, dedication, and love for the land is unmatched, and her absence leaves an immeasurable void in our hearts.
Lorri's dream of creating a space where families could come together, enjoy nature's bounty, and create lasting memories became a reality when we opened for our first U-Pick. Many of you were there, witnessing the beginning of this beautiful journey.
Each season, Lorri poured her heart and soul into preparing the farm. Starting with pruning the fields with her team, her attention to detail was unparalleled. Her delicious organic blueberry ice cream, sorbet, and yummy treats were a testament to her love for sharing the farm's offerings with all of you. However, Lorri always said that the best part of every season was seeing the smiling faces (some covered in blueberry ice cream), watching families continue their traditions, and witnessing the joy of exploration and discovery on the farm.
It takes a dedicated village of volunteers to help carry on Farmer Lorri's vision, and we are committed to continuing her legacy. Lorri knew from the first moment she set foot on this land that she belonged there. She felt compelled to protect it and share it with others, and she taught us well.
As we look ahead to the upcoming season, we are reminded that Mother Nature is the ultimate guide. Some seasons are short, some are long, and most are unpredictable. While we don't know exactly when this season will start, Lorri shared with me during pruning that this is going to be a good year.
